The Social Studies Foundation convened a conference on “Role of Corporate Sector in Social Inclusion of Socially Deprived Classes.” The deliberations brought together two consultants, five representatives from four NGOs—De Asara, Persistant, Dnyan Prabodhini, and Seva Vardhini—and three corporate representatives from Infosys, HSBC, and Thoughtworks. The interdisciplinary composition of participants underscored the collaborative potential between civil society and industry. Discussions highlighted how corporate engagement, through inclusive policies and social responsibility initiatives, can complement NGO efforts in addressing structural inequalities and fostering equitable opportunities for marginalized communities.
