A webinar on ‘#Black Lives Matter: Indian Perspectives'

Between 24th and 26th June 2020, the Social Studies Foundation organized a three‑day academic series addressing racism, global movements, and indigenous perspectives on discrimination. On 24th June, Dr. Shailendra Devlankar, researcher and columnist on international relations, examined the “Genesis, Problem and Challenges of Racism,” with Yashica Singh, Head of Religion Genre at SABC, presiding. On 25th June, Dr. Nanda Kishor M.S., Associate Professor of Geopolitics and International Relations, offered a “360‑degree view of #Black Lives Matter,” chaired by Dr. Sachin Nanda, CEO of Pillbox Capitol, London. On 26th June, Shri Ramesh Patange, President of Hindustan Prakashan Sanstha, discussed “Combating Discrimination: Indian Ethos,” under the chairmanship of Dr. Kundan Singh, Hindu University of America. Collectively, these sessions provided comparative insights into global and Indian frameworks of inclusion and justice.

An e-book on the deliberations of the webinar titled - “ #Black Lives Matter – A guide to Indian Perspectives” was published.
