Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar has refused to accept the prevailing social order with its entrenched injustice and immorality. Instead, he chose to confront it head‑on, transforming his harrowing personal circumstances into a hopeful opportunity to create a just and egalitarian Indian society. Though he had every reason to be bitter, Dr Ambedkar refused to be weighed down by the backwardness imposed on the Mahar community into which he was born. By sheer determination, sustained education, and relentless cultivation of intellect, he rose above his family conditions and proved himself more than a match for many of his contemporaries in modern India.
